Mandarin Training Program
   The institution provides Chinese advocates from all over the world with both short-term and long-term Chinese courses.

Long-term Course:
   Long-term course (in duration of more than half a year) enrolls new students twice annually, individually on the beginning of the term in March and in September, Which offered five categories for option: introduction, junior, senior, advanced and so on. Classes scheduled from Monday to Friday and which includes 20-22 hours’ required courses and 2-4 hours’ elective course every week.

Teaching Features:
   Small classes (maximum amount of registers kept within 16) focus on improving students' language ability in real situation.Teaching schedules are accompanied by rich activities. Activities involving Chinese language practice and International students Talent Show will be carried out every semester. We have a great many experienced teachers who contribute greatly to the high teaching quality.

Requirements for admission:
   Anyone who graduates from high school, healthy, aged between 18 and 60 can apply for it.

Application Procedures:
   Visit the school personally or download and fill in the "Dalian Maritime University Chinese Learning Students application form.” from http://fso.dlmu.edu.cn（mail, fax or coming personally）.The following documents should be submitted: the completed "Application Form",8 photos(3cm×4cm),photocopy of passport. Visa Application Form (JW202), Records of medical examination form.

   After the reviewing by the school, the "Enrollment Notice", Visa Application Form (JW202), and records of medical examination form will be officially released. International students take the above-mentioned documents and records of medical examination form to Chinese Embassy in the host country (or consulate) for applying the visa for China. It can be applied at any time before January 30th (Spring Semester) and July 30th (fall semester).

Short-term Course:
   Short-term Course (2-4 weeks) is conducted during summer and winter holiday. It begins on the third week of January or Jury annually. The specific schedule ofthe starting time and studying content can be based on the applicant's requests. For personal application, the class will be held when the number of applicants is more than 8.If the students come in teams, Learning time, teaching content and activities can be adjusted.
